GENERAL SECRTARY
I was born and raised in Glasgow, graduated with an MA in English and French from Glasgow University, then with a postgraduate qualification in Business/Secretarial Studies. I worked in business in London and Geneva then returned to Scotland to start a career in media production, with Scottish Television, Radio Clyde and then Tyne Tees Television in Newcastle.
Having married, I spent 10 years living abroad, in Germany, Cyprus, Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands. I also studied for a postgraduate teaching qualification.
The final part of my career was in education, teaching English, Media and Communication in a Further Education college.
Now retired, I enjoy several volunteering activities, studying German and spending time with my family.

studied French at Glasgow University and as part of her course she spent a year studying in Marseille, in France.
She loved the international vibe to that city, which was very different from Glasgow at that time. She quickly saw the benefits of experiencing and understanding other cultures: and the extra dimension it could add to your life. So, after graduating she returned to Marseille to work there for a few more years.
Some years after her return home to Glasgow she was delighted to discover the International Welcome Club at Wellington Church, ( now Kelvin West) which allowed her once again to have contact with people from many different lands and continue learning how societies elsewhere deal with things . Volunteering with the Scottish Intercultural Association is a natural follow-on from that and she looks forward to deepening the knowledge and friends she has gained from the international community here in Glasgow.
